WHAT IS T-SCAN?

Traditionally, occlusal analysis involved a considerable amount of guesswork. Methods such as pressure indicator paste, waxes, and articulation paper can be inaccurate. None of the traditional diagnostic techniques measure both time and force of biting pressure.

T-Scan is the only digitalized device in the world, which you can use in a dental profession to measure occlusion. Your patient bites on a thin sensor, which tells you immediately via a computer program, which tooth is biting, when and where including relative occlusal forces between teeth. Measurement is extremely fast, accurate, repeatable and objective.

WHEN YOU NEED T-SCAN?

Always, when you think about the occlusion.
Always, when you think about the articulation paper.

There are several studies by for ex Dr. Robert Kerstein, that tell you undebiably, that a human eye with coloured paper, any waxes or other previous methods of analysing bite, cannot measure timing and bite forces in human bite function. As you cannot measure temperature outside by putting your hand out from the window, you cannot measure anything with just a piece of paper and colour.
